What happens when a tech company organizes a cricket tournament?
You obviously get great cricket.
But at Bombay Softwares Premier League 2026, we decided to add something more to the Cricket.
We turned it into a real-world experiment with Artificial Intelligence.
Over three exciting days, teams competed fiercely on the field. But behind the scenes, something equally exciting was happening; we were exploring how AI could enhance a live event experience.
Not in theory.
But in practice.
And the results were surprisingly creative.
AI tools are becoming part of everyday work - helping with coding, writing and automation, but we wondered:
Can AI also help us create a better event experience?
Instead of just using AI behind a screen, we wanted to bring it into the atmosphere of the event itself.
That meant experimenting with AI for things like:
To make this possible, we used the Google Gemini, as a creative assistant throughout the planning process.
What followed was a series of experiments that turned BSPL into something far more interesting than a typical tournament.
One of the first ideas came from a practical challenge.
Music is essential for sports events; it builds excitement, celebrates big moments, and keeps the crowd energized. But playing popular songs publicly, especially during recordings or live streams, often raises copyright concerns.
Instead of dealing with licensing complexities, we asked a simple question:
What if we create our own music for the tournament?
So we turned to AI.
Rather than giving basic instructions, we fed the AI detailed information about the event, including:
We also asked the AI to create something culturally unique; a blend of English, Hindi, and Punjabi energy, supported by Indian-style musical elements and accents.
The results were surprisingly fun.
We generated:
Some tracks even had rap-style sections, which made them perfect for big moments during the matches
And if a version didn't feel energetic enough?
We simply refined the prompt and generated a better one.
Within a few iterations, we had custom music that felt like it was made specifically for BSPL.
To create the grand opening vibe for BSPL 2026, we designed a prompt that blended cricket commentary energy, Indian stadium atmosphere, multilingual scripting, and AI branding into one cinematic introduction track.
Prompt: The Intro Theme Prompt
Generate a 45-second high-energy sports tournament intro audio for the 'Bombay Softwares Premier League (BSPL) 2026'.
Speakers: Dual-host format featuring a male speaker (enthusiastic, cricket-commentary style) and a female speaker (sharp, corporate-yet-energetic). Both must use natural Indian accents.
Tone/Vibe: Grand opening, stadium echo, heavy crowd cheering background, high tempo.
Language: A natural corporate blend of English and Hindi (Hinglish), utilizing a touch of Gujarati/Punjabi adjectives for localized flavor.

Another interesting experiment was how we used AI to transform simple event information into engaging content.
Things like match schedules, team lineups, and event announcements are usually presented in a straightforward way.
But with AI, even these elements could become more creative.
Instead of static announcements, we explored dynamic and engaging formats that added energy to the event.
It made routine information feel interactive and entertaining rather than just informative.
We used a similar approach for daily match schedule announcements, transforming regular fixture updates into high-energy stadium-style experiences.

We also generated AI-powered victory announcement tracks for winning teams.

One of the most interesting parts of the experiment was making sure the AI output didn't feel generic.
We intentionally pushed the AI to create content that reflected local culture and energy.
That meant incorporating elements like:
These small details made a big difference.
The AI-generated content didn't feel like something pulled from the internet.
It felt like something created specifically for our tournament.
Even the background music loops used during transitions and live anchoring followed the same philosophy.

Genre: Modern Indian Pop / Electronic Dance Music (EDM) fusion.

The biggest takeaway from BSPL 2026 wasn't just the cricket.
It was seeing how AI can be used as a creative partner.
Often, AI is discussed in the context of productivity and automation. But this event showed another side of it; AI as a tool for creativity, entertainment, and experimentation.
With the right prompts and ideas, AI can help transform ordinary moments into something memorable.
At Bombay Softwares, technology is part of everything we do.
But sometimes the best innovations don't happen in a meeting room or during development.
Sometimes they happen on a cricket field.
BSPL 2026 showed us that when you combine team spirit, creativity, and AI, even a simple corporate event can become an opportunity to explore new ideas.
